The Annual Musical On Ice is approaching quickly, and with that comes Dress Rehearsal this Thursday night! Please read the information below carefully regarding Dress Rehearsal. 

• Starts at 6:15 SHARP!  Please check in by 6:00PM!
•  Please check in with Coach Michaela for attendance and your skater's locker room assignment at the table in the BACK lobby.  YOU MUST CHECK IN TO BE COUNTED!
• We will NOT be starting the rehearsal with Finale as we have done for years.  We will not be practicing finale and will be starting from the very beginning of rehearsal. 
• This is DRESS rehearsal so please have costumes on!
• This is a very new concept for us so please be understanding of any glitches or confusion that may occur! 

 

Skaters, if needed, will have the opportunity to re-skate their number if the coach needs to make a change or if they need a better understanding of the flow of their number.  If needed a coach may schedule a Saturday morning practice for your skater's number.  Some coaches have already scheduled extra practice ice for Saturday.  Please make sure your skater attends that practice.  Do not leave the rink Thursday without finding out if your skater has a practice.  The coach will notify each Ice Mom to pass that information along to the parents, or you can check with the coach.

Recently, our Basic Skills skaters participated in the "Skate Your Heart Out - 2013" competition held by the Skating Association of Maine at the Ice Vault Arena in Hallowell, Maine. Our Advanced Skaters also went to the same place to participate in the Test Session held there. The test results are below. The results of the Basic Skills competition are as follows:
Ranger M.- 1st place in Elements (Snowplow);
Sophia M.- 2nd place in Elements; 2nd place in Program (Basic 3);
Allison M.- 3rd place in Elements; 3rd place in Program (Basic 4);
Gabi C. - 3rd place in Elements (Basic 4); 2nd place in Program (Basic 4);
Kayleigh P. - 2nd place in Elements (Basic 7); 3rd place in Program (Basic 7);
Jayden L. - 1st place in Elements (Basic 7); 4th place in Program (Basic 7);
Maren M. - 3rd place in Elements (Basic 7); 2nd place in Program (Basic 7);

Our Advanced Skaters at Their Test Session!

Hello!

We would like to express how proud we are of all our advanced skaters who are going to participate in the testing session on Monday, February 18, 2013. This session will be held by the Skating Association of Maine at The Ice Vault Arena in Hallowell, Maine. Our talented skaters will be tested on Moves in the Field, Freestyle and Dances. Our wonderful Basic Skills Program skaters are competing during the "Skate Your Heart Out - 2013" Basic Skills Competition held by the Skating Association Of Maine at The Ice Vault Arena in Hallowell, Maine on Monday, February 18th, 2013. Good luck to all and thank you for representing NMFSC so well!

We would like to invite everyone to come and watch the annual Smiles on Ice Competition that will be held tomorrow, Sunday, January 20th, at 3.15 PM at the Forum in Presque Isle. There will be many skaters ready to show off their awesome skating skills, and it promises to be a great time!

We have many exciting announcements regarding the club!

• The Basic Skills test session will be held this Saturday, January 5th, 2013. Please come to your lessons so your skater can get tested!
• The annual Musical On Ice will be held on March 9th, 2013. The theme of the Musical on Ice this year is "Seussical". Contracts for the show are due no later than this Saturday, January 5th, 2013!
• The annual Smiles on Ice Competition will be held Sunday, January 20th, 2013. More information will be available in an email & this Saturday!
